About Dr. Mora

Originally from South Dakota, Dr. Mora’s journey in medicine has taken her across the country due to her mother’s military career. She is a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, with family in the ‘Sicangu’ and ‘Oohenumpa’ bands of Lakota, and a descendant of French and Scottish families present in the Midwest for many generations. This diverse upbringing has instilled in her a deep appreciation for small-town life and rural medicine. “I always knew I wanted to practice in a smaller, rural setting where I could provide full-spectrum care,” she shares. “Pipestone seemed like the perfect place to raise my family and serve the community.”

Dr. Mora completed her medical education at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Grand Forks. She also completed her family medicine residency in Sioux Falls at the Center for Family Medicine and elected to extend her training with a Women’s Health Fellowship. This additional training in obstetrics enhances her ability to provide comprehensive care to her patients, including advanced procedures.

Her approach to patient care is deeply collaborative. “I believe in involving patients in the decision-making process,” Dr. Mora explains. “I provide recommendations and guide them based on what I would want for my family, but I always meet them where they are to ensure the best outcomes.”

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Mora is an active medical community member, holding memberships with the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and other professional organizations. She also volunteers at 15th Round Boxing in Sioux Falls, where two of her children train. Dr. Mora occasionally serves as a ringside physician for amateur and professional events and is a member of the Association of Ringside Physicians.
