QuickLabs

Pipestone County Medical Center offers quick and confidential blood lab testing without a referral or provider visit.

QuickLabs test results are considered a health status assessment and are not designed to diagnose or predict illness. It is the patient’s responsibility to initiate medical follow-up. In the event a lab result is at a critical level, you will be contacted and advised to seek immediate medical attention from your provider.

Cash or credit card payment is due at the time of service. Insurance, Medicare or Medicaid will not be billed. 

QuickLabs Results

Results are typically completed and received within a week.

Your results are not typically shared with your primary healthcare provider but are available through our electronic medical record (EHR) and Patient Portal. (Blood typing test results are not visible through the Patient Portal.)

Available Tests

Blood Typing – $35

  • Determines your ABO and Rh blood type. 

Complete Blood Count (CBC) – $10

  • Determines your general health status, including anemia, infection, or inflammation.

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel* (CMP) – $15

  • Determines your general health status. Evaluates the body’s electrolyte balance and/or the status of several major organ system. Includes albumin, total bilirubin, calcium, carbon dioxide, chloride, creatinine, glucose, alkaline phosphatase, potassium, total protein, sodium, ALT, AST, BUN.

General Health Panel* – $75

  • A comprehensive screening of your health status. Includes CMP, CBC, Lipid Panel and TSH.

Glucose* – $10

  • Determines whether your blood sugar is within a healthy range for a single point in time. 

Hemoglobin A1C – $20 

  • Monitors the average amount of sugar in the blood over the last 2-3 months. 

Lipid Panel* – $25

  • Assesses the risk of cardiovascular disease. Includes cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol (calculated) CHOL/HDL ratio (calculated.)

PSA Screen – $40

  • Measures prostate-specific antigen levels in men.

Thyroid Panel -$45

  • A group of tests to evaluate the thyroid gland and help diagnose thyroid disorders, Includes TSH and Free T4.

TSH – $30

  • Evaluates the thyroid gland function and monitors treatment.

Vitamin d (25, Hydroxy) – $50

  • Determines if you have a vitamin D deficiency or if you are adequately receiving vitamin D supplementation. 

* Recommended fast of 10-12 hours.
