Pipestone County Medical Center welcomes Kimberly Veldhuizen, AGNP-C, to our surgery department. Kimberly will work alongside Dr. Michael Brozik, General Surgery, to deliver exceptional surgical care to our community.
Kimberly earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Minnesota West in Worthington, followed by her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Maryville University, graduating with an Adult/Geriatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner degree. Kimberly is certified as an Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (AGNP-C) by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is an active organization member.
Her professional experience spans various areas of healthcare. Kimberly worked as an acute care nurse at PCMC for seven years, gaining valuable experience in the Emergency Department, Med-Surg, Labor and Delivery, and Same-Day Surgery. She expanded her travel nurse and case manager skills before returning to PCMC as an Advanced Practice Provider.
Kimberly’s role in the PCMC surgery department includes seeing consultations, conducting pre-op and post-op visits, assisting in surgery, collaborating with other providers and surgeons, and performing minor clinic procedures. She enjoys the dynamic environment of surgical care, which allows her to contribute across the clinic, trauma, and operating room settings.
