Dr. Michael Brozik’s medical journey began at South Dakota State University, where he completed his undergraduate studies in 2007. He then pursued his medical degree at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine, graduating in 2011. Following medical school, Dr. Brozik underwent surgical training at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor, Michigan, completing his residency in 2016. To further enhance his skills, he completed a Critical Care Fellowship at the same institution in 2017.

Dr. Brozik is board-certified in both General Surgery and Critical Care Medicine. He is dedicated to advancing trauma care through his roles as an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Course Director and Instructor and a Rural Trauma Team Development Course (RTTDC) Instructor. He is also trained and certified in robotic surgery.

Dr. Brozik’s approach to patient care emphasizes clear communication and patient autonomy. He strives to explain medical conditions in simple terms and empowers patients to make informed decisions about their treatment. His goal is for patients to have such successful outcomes that they no longer need to see him.

Professionally, Dr. Brozik is an active member of several medical societies, including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Eastern Society for the Surgery of Trauma, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
