Nathan Everson, PA-C, brings a broad clinical background and a passion for family medicine to Pipestone County Medical Center. He earned his undergraduate degree in kinesiology from the University of South Dakota and completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of North Dakota.
Nathan’s healthcare experience began during his undergraduate studies and included roles as a CNA, therapy aide, athletic training intern, and pharmacy technician. His PA clinical training included family medicine, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, orthopedics, dermatology, plastic surgery, and OB/GYN.
He chose family medicine because he enjoys caring for patients at different stages of life and building relationships with patients and families over time. He has a particular interest in musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions, sports medicine, preventive care, and helping patients stay active and healthy.
Growing up in Slayton, Nathan saw firsthand the importance of accessible, high-quality healthcare close to home. He values the close-knit nature of rural communities and the opportunity to be part of the community he serves.
Nathan believes that good healthcare starts with teamwork and communication. He works closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, therapists, and other members of the care team to develop the best plan for each patient.
“I want my patients to feel heard, respected, and comfortable asking questions,” Nathan says. “My goal is for them to leave each visit confident that we have a plan moving forward.”
Outside of work, Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, as well as traveling, athletics, and being outdoors. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients and helping them maintain their health and quality of life.
